From Germany, With Love

Posted on 16 April 2007 by Alexis

I’m a thirtysomething-ish mom.

And even though I can still shop the juniors section with absolute ease - I tend to maneuver carefully.

I don’t want to look like I’m trying to relive the most angst ridden years of my life. But then again, I’m still part b-girl. And I like clothes that allow me to express that part of myself, without making me look like a teen mom.

With that said, let’s take a look at Naketano, shall we… This German based line does a damn good job at burning a hole in my wallet.

I love the nice clean lines in the stripes. I love the peek-a-boo shoulder action. And that black kimono dress with the belt is something you’d see in Lucky magazine, hooked up 5 different ways.

The line has an American Apparel 100% cotton feel - without all the candid Polaroid shots of Betty’s in leg warmers, gym shorts and shiny gold leggings.
