I’ll Be Poppin’ My Collar

Posted on 02 April 2007 by Alexis

I am a truly a neck accessory girl.

I don’t care about the season or the reason, I love a piece of fabric covering some part of my neck. Okay maybe not when it’s 98 degrees outside, but you get the message.

I was touched with this unquenchable thirst the first time I went to Paris. They wear scarves over there like they eat baguettes. And trust me, your Parisian day isn’t complete without some baguette crumbs left on the table.

The scarf obsession eventually led to collars. Now whenever I see a fancy girl collar, or a cowl neck on a top, I bite my lip in anticipation.

So I thank the indie style muse for Brooklyn, New York based designer Yana Gorbulsky.

She has a knack for putting the most lovely jumbo collars on her tops. Not all of her tops. (Now that would be orgasmic.) But enough that she keeps me coming back to her site for more.

Yana sells on eBay (her auctions always have brisk bidding activity), on her own web site, and through trunk shows in Brooklyn and around the US.
