Good for the Environment - Cute for You
Let’s face it, not all recycled fashion items look good. Recycled tote bags made from Capri Sun empty juice containers - not good. Recycled underwear - not good.
But jewelery made from leftover wood - definitely good.
Trevor O’Neil is a Chicago-based artist who has a panache for wooden works. But as he relayed to me, “I just can’t seem to throw out beautiful wood!”
He turns his leftover pieces of wood into handmade jewelry (rings, pendants, bracelets and belt buckles) that have a cool beatnik vibe to them.
I wanna put on a black beret, with a pair of cat eye sunglasses, that block bracelet, and some matte red lips. Very poetry slam-ish.
