My Favorite Winter Sport!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

I don’t ski. I don’t snowboard. I rarely ice skate.

The only winter sport I completely enjoy is shopping. And honey, I win the gold medal when it comes to the winter accessory category.

The people at the coffee shop are amazed at the sheer number of hats and scarves I have. I get the most compliments on my multicolor chunky knit scarves.

My coffee shop cronies ask me if I knit my own stuff. (Ha - I wish!)

I rely on the astute knittiness of designers like Bossy Boots. These scarves add both color and warmth to your winter wardrobe. Easily sportable with both down and wool coats.

Neck-sy Mama!

Friday, July 13th, 2007

If you’re not into neck candy and you’re an Indie Lust reader, I am going to convert you.

Don’t run and hide and scream, “This isn’t for me!” I’m going to show you that it is for you. And you can thank me for it later on.

Outside of the traditional necklace, the neck is probably one of the least utilized fashion zones on the body. (Unless you’re from France. French women have a patent on scarf wearing.)

However notice… with a lower cut top, one can beautifully accentuate the neck with a scarf. It gives you that 1950’s Bridgette Bardot sex kitten effect. Very cha cha la.

Independent designer Viola Blanca has put together an exciting line of neck accessories at Snazzy Girl.

It’s definitely one of the more creative collections I’ve seen in a long time.
